Aska Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended May 31 came to a loss of ¥7.71 per share, compared with ¥10.62 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥44.0 million, compared with income of ¥60.6 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin fell to negative 1.0% from 1.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined year over year to ¥4.44 billion from ¥4.57 billion, and total operating expenses declined on an annual basis to ¥4.41 billion from ¥4.51 billion.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥76.0 million, or a loss of ¥13.31 per share, compared to income of ¥48.0 million, or ¥8.41 per share, in the year-earlier period.
