NTR acquires 19.2-MW wind farm in Ireland

NTR PLC, through its infrastructure fund NTR Renewable Energy Income Fund II, has acquired the 19.2-MW Ballycumber wind farm in County Wicklow, Ireland.

The project consists of six Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA turbines and came online in 2019.

It is one of the last remaining wind farms to avail of the Irish REFIT tariff, according to a Jan. 9 company news release.

The deal boosts the renewable energy assets managed by NTR on behalf of its two funds to 515 MW of wind and solar facilities located throughout Ireland, France, Sweden, Finland and the United Kingdom.
