Glen Smith has been added to the board of the Farm Credit Administration following his nomination by President Donald Trump.

Trump nominated Smith in September, and he was confirmed by the Senate on Dec. 5. His term on the board expires May 21, 2022. Smith will also serve on the board of Farm Credit System Insurance Corp.

Smith is president and co-owner of Smith Land Service, which he founded in 1982, specializing in farm management, land appraisal and farmland brokerage services in about 30 Iowa counties. He also owns and serves as president of Smith Generation Farms Inc., a family farm operation.
