Yomiuri Land fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Yomiuri Land Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥53.12 per share, a decrease of 19.0% from ¥65.56 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥410.6 million, a decrease of 19.5% from ¥510.0 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 9.4% from 12.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew year over year to ¥4.36 billion from ¥4.22 billion, and total operating expenses grew 7.5% from the prior-year period to ¥3.92 billion from ¥3.64 billion.

Reported net income decreased 20.5% from the prior-year period to ¥415.0 million, or ¥53.69 per share, from ¥522.0 million, or ¥67.10 per share.

As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
