China Evergrande Group's contracted sales in July decreased year over year to about 40.45 billion yuan from roughly 40.66 billion yuan.

The unaudited sales figure for the month reflects approximately 3.836 million square meters of contracted sales area and an average selling price of 10,543 yuan per square meter, the Chinese developer noted in a filing.

As of Aug. 5, US$1 was equivalent to 7.05 yuan.
