Wowprime Q2 profit falls YOY

Wowprime Corp. said its second-quarter normalized net income amounted to NT$1.47 per share, a decrease of 33.8% from NT$2.22 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$113.3 million, a decrease of 33.8% from NT$171.1 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 2.7% from 4.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to NT$4.22 billion from NT$4.11 billion, and total operating expenses climbed year over year to NT$3.94 billion from NT$3.80 billion.

Reported net income declined 61.8% on an annual basis to NT$83.1 million, or NT$1.07 per share, from NT$217.9 million, or NT$2.83 per share.

As of Aug. 10, US$1 was equivalent to NT$31.65.
