Report: Bidders in talks with possible partners for thyssenkrupp's elevator unit

Two rival bidders for the thyssenkrupp AG's elevator unit are now in talks with potential partners for the business, Bloomberg reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.

According to the report, KONE Oyj is now in discussions with CVC Capital Partners Ltd. while Blackstone Group Inc. have partnered with Carlyle Group LP for a planned joint bid.

Meanwhile, CVC is also discussing whether it could bid independently in addition to pursuing a joint offer with Kone.

No final agreement has been made yet.

The sale process for the elevator unit started in September, following the dismissal of CEO Guido Kerkhoff.
