Endo Manufacturing fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Endo Manufacturing Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥14.60 per share, a decline of 22.1% from ¥18.76 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥127.5 million, a decline of 22.1% from ¥163.8 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 3.4% from 3.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 10.8% year over year to ¥3.78 billion from ¥4.24 billion, and total operating expenses decreased 7.4% year over year to ¥3.74 billion from ¥4.03 billion.

Reported net income fell 35.3% year over year to ¥143.0 million, or ¥16.38 per share, from ¥221.0 million, or ¥25.31 per share.

As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
