Report: Mattel's chief brand officer resigns

California-based toymaker Mattel Inc.'s chief brand officer, Juliana Chugg, is resigning from the company, Bloomberg reported Feb. 27, citing a company spokesman.

Chugg, who joined Mattel in 2015, will remain at the company as an adviser to CEO Margo Georgiadis, the report added.

Following Chugg's resignation, Georgiadis and COO Richard Dickson will have increased control over the company's brands. The manager of American Girl will report directly to the CEO, while leaders of other top brands, including Hot Wheels, Barbie and Fisher-Price, will report to the COO, the company reportedly said.
