Quantum Energy closes $5.58B fund

Energy private equity firm Quantum Energy Partners LLC announced Aug. 7 that it has held its final closing on the Quantum Energy Partners VII LP fund with $5.58 billion of equity capital commitments, including from its general partner and affiliates.

Sidley Austin LLP represented Quantum Energy Partners in connection with forming the private equity fund, with capital commitments of approximately $4.7 billion, together with a coinvestment vehicle, Quantum Energy Partners VII Co-Investment Fund LP, with capital commitments of an additional $750 million.
