Cota fiscal Q3 profit climbs 28.0% YOY

Cota Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, amounted to ¥29.85 per share, an increase of 36.3% from ¥21.91 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥473.8 million, a gain of 28.0% from ¥370.0 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 20.0% from 17.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 13.2% year over year to ¥2.37 billion from ¥2.10 billion, and total operating expenses grew 9.2% from the prior-year period to ¥1.62 billion from ¥1.48 billion.

Reported net income rose 30.8% year over year to ¥501.0 million, or ¥31.57 per share, from ¥383.0 million, or ¥22.68 per share.
