Ardian, Macquarie Group Ltd. and Abertis Infraestructuras SA participated in the initial round of bids for Portuguese motorway manager Brisa - Auto-Estradas de Portugal SA, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Brisa owners Arcus Infrastructure Partners LLP and José de Mello SGPS SA have been in talks about the possible sale of an approximately 80% stake in the business, the unnamed sources told the news outlet, adding that the interest could be valued at approximately €3 billion in a sale.
The owners reportedly are expected to make a shortlist of suitors in the next few days. The shortlisted bidders will be invited to submit binding offers.
Representatives for Abertis, Arcus, Ardian, Jose de Mello and Macquarie did not comment on the matter, Bloomberg added.
