RH said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Aug. 2 came to 68 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 64 cents per share.
EPS rose year over year from 11 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $27.9 million, an increase from $4.3 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 6.4% from 1.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 13.5% on an annual basis to $433.8 million from $382.1 million, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to $384.8 million from $374.1 million.
Reported net income came to $27.2 million, or 66 cents per share, compared to a loss of $17.8 million, or a loss of 46 cents per share, in the prior-year period.
