CB Financial Services, First West Virginia merger receives regulatory approvals

Wheeling, W.Va.-based First West Virginia Bancorp Inc. and Carmichaels, Pa.-based CB Financial Services Inc. announced March 30 that they have received all requisite regulatory approvals for their $49.0 million merger.

In a press release, the companies said they expect to complete the proposed transaction on or about April 30, subject to the receipt of stockholder approval. A special stockholders' meeting is scheduled for April 11 to vote on the transaction.

First West Virginia Bancorp is the parent of Progressive Bank NA and CB Financial Services is the holding company for Community Bank.
