Ahold Delhaize buys back more common shares

Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV said May 28 that it repurchased 2,137,191 of its common shares between May 20 and May 24 at an average price of €20.53 apiece, for a total consideration of €43.9 million.

The transaction forms part of the Dutch grocer's €1 billion share repurchase program announced in November 2018.

The company previously repurchased 1,018,077 shares worth €20.9 million from May 13 to May 17.

To date, Ahold Delhaize has repurchased 24,438,668 shares for a total consideration of about €539.5 million under the program.
