United Parcel Service Inc. agreed to pay $8.4 million to the U.S. government to settle allegations that it overcharged federal agencies for package delivery services, the Justice Department said Sept. 13.
The company allegedly failed to provide agencies with certain lower prices offered to another customer, as required under its government contract, from 2007 to 2014.
There was no determination of liability in the settlement, which covered ground delivery service, according to the Justice Department.
