The European Commission has cleared the proposed acquisition of two planned Swedish wind farms by a consortium of investors.
NAEV Solventus, Siemens AG and Korea Midland Power Co. Ltd. intend to acquire Stavro Vind Aktiebolag, a company that has been set up for the planning, construction, financing and operation of the Blackfjället and Blodrotberget wind farms in Sweden, according to an Aug. 23 news release.
NAEV Solventus is controlled by infrastructure funds managed by Germany's Nordrheinische Ärzteversorgung Einrichtung der Ärztekammer Nordrhein Körperschaf.
Meanwhile, Siemens is investing via its Siemens Project Ventures GmbH business and Korea Midland Power is a subsidiary of Korea Electric Power Corp. of South Korea.
