ThaiTheparos Q4 profit climbs 17.2% YOY

Thaitheparos Public Company Ltd said its fourth-quarter normalized net income came to 24 satang per share, a gain of 17.2% from 20 satang per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 85.9 million baht, a gain of 17.2% from 73.3 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 11.5% from 11.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 13.6% year over year to 747.6 million baht from 657.8 million baht, and total operating expenses grew 12.0% year over year to 618.4 million baht from 552.2 million baht.

Reported net income rose 21.0% from the prior-year period to 107.8 million baht, or 30 satang per share, from 89.0 million baht, or 25 satang per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 86 satang per share, an increase of 6.2% from 81 satang per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 309.2 million baht, an increase of 6.2% from 291.3 million baht in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose from the prior-year period to 2.76 billion baht from 2.67 billion baht, and total operating expenses grew year over year to 2.28 billion baht from 2.22 billion baht.

The company said reported net income grew 6.5% on an annual basis to 391.8 million baht, or 1.09 baht per share, in the full year, from 368.0 million baht, or 1.02 baht per share.

As of Feb. 24, US$1 was equivalent to 35.69 baht.
