Lapine Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Aug. 31 was a loss of ¥70.92 per share, compared with a loss of ¥70.36 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥165.0 million, compared with a loss of ¥163.8 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 6.8% from negative 6.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue totaled ¥2.44 billion, compared with ¥2.42 billion in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses totaled ¥2.71 billion, compared with ¥2.69 billion in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥270.8 million, or a loss of ¥116.37 per share, compared to a loss of ¥238.8 million, or a loss of ¥102.60 per share, in the prior-year period.
As of Oct. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥107.05.
