AT&T Inc. joined forces with Ericsson AB to develop new professional services capabilities for internet of things.

In partnership with Ericsson, AT&T offers Global Device Certification, which includes testing, verification and assistance with regulatory approval for IoT devices.

In a news release, AT&T said the agreement means its customers "can lower their risk and speed timelines for global IoT expansion in more than 150 countries."
