Western Copper & Gold Corp. said June 3 that a 10,000-meter drilling program will begin this week at its Casino copper-gold project in the western Yukon, Canada.
The program mainly consists of infill drilling of inferred mineralization in a 22-year pit that the company outlined in a 2013 feasibility study. Exploration is expected to wrap up by the end of the third quarter.
Western Copper & Gold hopes to convert mineralization from the inferred to the indicated category, which could increase mineralization designated in the reserves category in future studies.
