Latitude Tree Holdings Bhd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was 19 Malaysian sen per share, a gain of 57.7% from 12 sen per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 18.3 million ringgits, a gain of 57.7% from 11.6 million ringgits in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 9.7% from 6.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased year over year to 189.1 million ringgits from 184.4 million ringgits, and total operating expenses totaled 159.0 million ringgits, compared with 157.5 million ringgits in the prior-year period.
Reported net income grew 44.4% year over year to 27.4 million ringgits, or 28 sen per share, from 19.0 million ringgits, or 20 sen per share.
As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 3.60 ringgits.
