Slate Retail REIT to buy grocery-anchored portfolio in C$105M deal

Slate Retail REIT agreed to pay C$105 million to buy five grocery-anchored properties in its existing markets in Florida and Pennsylvania.

The portfolio has a gross leasable area of 654,610 square feet and comprises Bellview Plaza, Cordova Commons, Wedgewood Commons, Shops at Cedar Point and Northland Center. It is 94% occupied, with Publix, The Fresh Market, Weis Markets and Giant Food as anchor tenants.

The transaction is expected to be completed during the third quarter.
