Yume no Machi Souzou Iinkai fiscal Q2 profit climbs 31.3% YOY

Yume no Machi Souzou Iinkai Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Feb. 28 was ¥2.67 per share, a gain of 31.1% from ¥2.04 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥107.5 million, an increase of 31.3% from ¥81.9 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 11.4% from 9.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to ¥947.0 million from ¥903.0 million, and total operating expenses came to ¥776.0 million, compared with ¥770.0 million in the prior-year period.

Reported net income decreased 61.8% year over year to ¥25.0 million, or 62 sen per share, from ¥65.4 million, or ¥1.62 per share.
