Superior Uniform Group Inc. said its normalized net income for the first quarter came to 18 cents per share, an increase of 32.6% from 14 cents per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $2.7 million, a gain of 33.7% from $2.0 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 4.6% from 4.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 25.1% on an annual basis to $58.0 million from $46.3 million, and total operating expenses rose 24.5% from the prior-year period to $53.5 million from $43.0 million.
Reported net income increased 8.0% from the prior-year period to $2.2 million, or 15 cents per share, from $2.0 million, or 14 cents per share.
