Summit Midstream appoints former Crestwood exec as president/CEO

Summit Midstream Partners LP said Aug. 9 that J. Heath Deneke was named president and CEO of Summit Midstream Partners LLC, effective Sept. 16.

Deneke will also become a board member at the partnership's general partner Summit Midstream GP LLC. Deneke previously served as executive vice president, COO and a member of the office of the chairman at the energy midstream partnership Crestwood Equity Partners LP.

In connection with the appointment, Leonard Mallett, who has been the interim president and CEO of the partnership since February, will continue to serve as COO.

Summit Midstream is focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets in unconventional shale resource basins in the continental U.S. Summit Midstream Partners LLC beneficially owns a 41.8% limited partner interest in Summit Midstream and indirectly owns and controls Summit Midstream GP.
