Shenhua International fiscal H1 profit climbs 74.6% YOY

Shenhua International Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 31, 2015, was 2 Australian cents per share, a gain of 74.6% from 1 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$2.8 million, a gain of 74.6% from A$1.6 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 12.9% year over year to A$32.9 million from A$37.8 million, and total operating expenses fell 10.0% year over year to A$32.3 million from A$35.8 million.

Reported net income grew 68.8% from the prior-year period to A$3.4 million, or 3 cents per share, from A$2.0 million, or 2 cents per share.
