Axyz fiscal Q1 profit climbs YOY

AXYZ Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended Sept. 30 came to ¥70.33 per share, a gain from ¥29.71 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥395.0 million, an increase from ¥166.9 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 8.5% from 4.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 17.9% on an annual basis to ¥4.65 billion from ¥3.95 billion, and total operating expenses increased 9.1% from the prior-year period to ¥4.03 billion from ¥3.70 billion.

Reported net income increased on an annual basis to ¥400.0 million, or ¥71.22 per share, from ¥165.0 million, or ¥29.38 per share.

As of Oct. 30, US$1 was equivalent to ¥120.66.
