Alrosa fetches US$463M from special-size rough diamond auctions in FY'18

PJSC Alrosa said Jan. 17 that it fetched US$463 million in revenue from international auctions in 2018 for special-size rough diamonds weighing over 10.8 carats.

Over the full year, 32 auctions were conducted for the stones, held in Russia, Belgium, Israel, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates and the U.S. Majority of the auctions were held in Russia, with 11 held in Moscow and four in Vladivostok.

The Russian diamond miner is planning to hold 37 international auctions this year, with additional auctions to be held in Antwerp, Dubai, New York and Ramat Gan, Israel.
