China Nonferrous expects Pakrut gold project to resume output in H1'18

China Nonferrous Gold Ltd. expects to resume production at its Pakrut gold project in Tajikistan in the first half of 2018, it said Dec. 1.

The Pakrut mine was hit by an avalanche in February, and operations had been expected to normalize in the fourth quarter.

The company now expects external power supply to be restored by the end of the year, and equipment for the backfill station is expected to be shipped to the mine site in early 2018.
