KKR buys Atlanta office tower in $205M JV transaction

Private equity giant KKR & Co., through its Real Estate Partners Americas Fund II, purchased the 34-story Salesforce Tower in Atlanta's Buckhead submarket in a joint venture worth $205 million.

KKR and joint venture partner Banyan Street Capital are investing an additional $5 million for capital improvements at the 631,808-square-foot office property. Salesforce.com inc., RentPath LLC and Rubicon Global are among the building's major tenants.

Banyan, which was already invested in the property with a prior partner, will manage it directly.
