Report: China's Fosun mulls bid for German private bank Bankhaus Lampe

Chinese conglomerate Fosun International Ltd. is considering bidding for German private bank Bankhaus Lampe KG, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The Netherlands-based ABN Amro Bank NV and Franco-German financial group Oddo BHF SCA are also weighing offers for Bankhaus Lampe, according to the Oct. 21 report.

A sale could reportedly value Bankhaus Lampe at roughly €200 million.

Handelsblatt reported in April that Bankhaus Lampe, which is part of German conglomerate Oetker Group, was struggling with operative losses and was initiating a "strategical reorientation" of its business model, which will include job cuts.
