Wacoal Holdings Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to a loss of ¥12.79 per share, compared with ¥43.38 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥900.5 million, compared with income of ¥3.06 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to negative 1.9% from 6.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue came to ¥47.79 billion, compared with ¥47.42 billion in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses grew 15.6% on an annual basis to ¥50.14 billion from ¥43.36 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥899.0 million, or a loss of ¥12.77 per share, compared to income of ¥2.96 billion, or ¥41.92 per share, in the prior-year period.
As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.90.
