The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved a plan by one Pine Gate Renewables LLC subsidiary to lease the roughly 75-MW TWE Bowman solar project in Orangeburg County, S.C., from another.
Under the deal, TWE Bowman Solar Project LLC will continue to own the facility, and PGR Lessee L LLC will have operational control of the project in exchange for rental payments. Bowman and the lessee will continue to be affiliates of each other and to be subsidiaries of Pine Gate Renewables, according to a Jan. 16 FERC order.
The project is under development and expected to reach commercial operation in May. Its output will be sold to Dominion Energy Inc. subsidiary Dominion Energy South Carolina, Inc. under a 21-year power purchase agreement.
The lease transaction will take effect on the date the project is placed into service. (FERC docket EC20-22)
