India's Infosys Ltd. plans to open a design and innovation hub in Providence, Rhode Island, and create 500 jobs in the state by 2022.
The company said it intends to apply for incentives under the Qualified Jobs Incentive Act, the Rebuild Rhode Island program and the state's First Wave Closing Fund. The announcement comes after Infosys committed to hiring 10,000 American workers over the next two years. The company is investing in technology and innovation hubs in Indiana and North Carolina.
