Xcel Energy awards 25 MW of community solar capacity to Pivot Energy

Xcel Energy Inc. selected Denver-based Pivot Energy to build 25 MW of new community solar capacity in Colorado.

The award of 13 projects would increase Pivot Energy's Colorado community solar portfolio to 50 MW, according to an Aug. 6 news release.

The projects, to be located across Xcel Energy's service territory, were awarded through the utility's 2019 Solar*Rewards Community request for proposal.

The proposed capacity is available for subscription to any Xcel Energy customers, including residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural customers. Pivot would manage subscriptions through its SunCentral community solar customer management interface.
