The U.S. International Trade Commission will investigate Nokia Technologies' complaint over Apple Inc.'s alleged import of electronic devices that infringe the Nokia Corp. unit's patents, Reuters reported Jan. 24.
The Finnish company is requesting for a cease-and-desist order and a limited exclusion order in the case against Apple, the report said. Nokia alleged Apple is infringing on 32 of the phone maker's patents. The U.S. federal body reportedly has not yet made a decision on the merit of the case.
Late in December 2016, the Cupertino, Calif.-based tech giant removed the products of Nokia unit Withings from its stores as a result of the dispute.
