Menlo Park, Calif.-based private equity firm Accel-KKR provided an undisclosed amount of growth capital to Seequent, a portfolio company of Pencarrow Private Equity.
The Christchurch, New Zealand-based visual data science company, which has 13 offices around the world, is behind the Leapfrog 3D geological modeling software. It will use the equity investment to expedite its global expansion.
Accel-KKR has more than $5 billion in capital commitments and invests in companies in the technology sector. New Zealand-based Pencarrow will remain an investor in Seequent.
Murray & Co. and Chapman Tripp were the financial and legal advisers, respectively, to Seequent.
