Fuji Xerox to end Xerox tech deal, change name in 2021

Fuji Xerox Co. Ltd. intends to end its technology agreement with Xerox Holdings Corp. at expiry on March 31, 2021.

The agreement catered to technology and branding licenses and sales territories applicable for both companies. Fuji Xerox said it will continue to provide Xerox products based on its own technologies after the deal expires.

Both companies will continue to supply products to each other even after the technology agreement expires as a separate product supply agreement remains in effect, Fuji Xerox noted.

Fuji Xerox also plans to change its corporate name to Fujifilm Business Innovation Corp. as of April 1, 2021. The company's affiliates and sales subsidiaries across the globe will also change their names respectively on the same date, with their new names to be announced later.
