Jay Ushin Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 came to 4.86 Indian rupees per share, a gain of 15.3% from 4.22 rupees per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 18.8 million rupees, a gain of 15.4% from 16.3 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 1.0% from 1.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 7.1% year over year to 1.80 billion rupees from 1.68 billion rupees, and total operating expenses grew 6.7% year over year to 1.78 billion rupees from 1.67 billion rupees.
Reported net income rose 66.4% from the prior-year period to 25.7 million rupees, or 6.65 rupees per share, from 15.5 million rupees, or 4.00 rupees per share.
As of Nov. 6, US$1 was equivalent to 66.11 Indian rupees.
