First Industrial breaks ground on $49M Pa. development

First Industrial Realty Trust Inc. started work on its estimated $49.0 million development of a 738,720 square-foot distribution center in central Pennsylvania.

The development, dubbed First Logistics Center @ I-78/81, is near the intersection of I-78 and I-81 in Lebanon County. It is subject to a 10-year Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance program that phases in property taxes on improvements, the company said in a release.

The site plan for the project includes a 250,000 square-foot facility on 12 acres of land and can be adapted for an additional 296 trailer parking stalls or 632 car parks.
