Wacoal Holdings Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to ¥8.37 per share, a gain of 12.0% from ¥7.47 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥591.5 million, a gain of 12.1% from ¥527.8 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 1.2% from 1.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥48.90 billion from ¥47.78 billion, and total operating expenses increased from the prior-year period to ¥47.73 billion from ¥46.75 billion.
Reported net income fell 59.8% year over year to ¥1.13 billion, or ¥16.02 per share, from ¥2.81 billion, or ¥39.84 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥138.32 per share, a gain of 81.9% from ¥76.05 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥9.77 billion, a gain of 81.9% from ¥5.37 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew 5.8% year over year to ¥202.92 billion from ¥191.76 billion, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to ¥189.05 billion from ¥184.68 billion.
The company said reported net income grew 32.2% year over year to ¥11.16 billion, or ¥158.00 per share, in the full year, from ¥8.44 billion, or ¥119.60 per share.
