Seven West Media Ltd. appointed Charlotte Valente to the newly created position of chief marketing officer.
The new role will cover a range of viewer and business-facing marketing initiatives, including data analytics, on-air promotions, digital optimization and public relations. Prior to joining Seven, Valente held marketing roles at companies including APN Outdoor Group Ltd. and British Broadcasting Corp.
Valente joins the company's eight-person senior management team reporting directly to Managing Director and CEO James Warburton. Following his appointment in August, Warburton said the creation of a leaner management team is part of the company's transformation strategy, details of which will be revealed at the broadcaster's Oct. 23 upfronts event.
The Australian network is also looking to appoint a chief digital officer and chief content officer, both of which will be part of the new senior management team.
