Huntley & Huntley Energy Exploration changes name to Olympus Energy

Privately held independent natural gas company Huntley & Huntley Energy Exploration LLC changed its name to Olympus Energy LLC, according to a Sept. 25 release.

The change reflects Olympus Energy's focus on developing its acreage and assets in the Appalachian Basin, particularly in southwestern Pennsylvania, the release said. President and CEO Chris Doyle said the company's initial delineation wells have outperformed expectations and provided with it a platform to differentiate.

Olympus Energy is headquartered in Canonsburg, Pa., and develops midstream and upstream assets in the Appalachian Basin. The company is the Blackstone Group Inc. private equity group's shale gas spinoff of local conventional driller Huntley & Huntley Inc.
