Itaú CorpBanca Colombia places bonds worth 350B Colombian pesos

Itaú CorpBanca Colombia SA placed 350 billion Colombian pesos worth of bonds through a Dutch auction on May 21, according to a Portafolio report.

The bank increased the offering from 250 billion pesos after demand reached 3.25x the original offering size.

The debt was issued in two series, one with a 36-month term and a fixed interest rate, and another with a 60-month term and an interest rate tied to the IPC benchmark indicator.

The issuance was part a debt program for up to 4.6 trillion pesos, which had been extended from the original amount of 3.0 trillion pesos in July 2018. Near the end of 2018, Itaú CorpBanca Colombia SA also issued about 314.18 billion pesos in notes.

As of May 21, US$1 was equivalent to 3,341.80 Colombian pesos.
