B. Riley FBR adds 5 to fixed income capital markets platform

B. Riley FBR Inc. added five sales and trading professionals to its fixed income capital markets platform.

Dyke Minix joined as managing director of the credit trading and sales department. Prior to this role, he was a credit trader and head retail trader at Hilltop Securities Inc. Brendan Laird will focus on institutional fixed income sales and trading in his new role as managing director. Laird was previously a credit sales trader at Hilltop Securities.

Deepak Devaraj joined as director and his role focuses on institutional fixed income sales and trading. Prior to this role, he was an institutional fixed income trader at Southwest Securities. Seamus Laird joined as vice president and will focus on institutional fixed income sales and trading. He was a credit sales trader at Hilltop Securities and as an analyst in Uline Inc. prior to joining B. Riley FBR.

Vesta Marks Jr. joined as electronic trading systems administrator. Prior to this role, he was a executive director and portfolio manager at Palmer Square Capital Management LLC. He also previously was a portfolio manager at Semper Capital Management LP.
