China sets antidumping deposits on steel products from EU, 3 others

China is enforcing temporary antidumping actions against importers of stainless steel billet and hot-rolled stainless steel plates from the EU, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia, the Ministry of Commerce said.

Importers of the steel products from the four jurisdictions will need to pay deposits ranging from 18.1% to 103.1% to Chinese customs beginning March 23, after an antidumping investigation found that the Chinese steel industry suffered "substantial damage" due to the imports, the ministry said.
