Toyota Boshoku Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥35.05 per share, a gain of 87.7% from ¥18.67 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥6.50 billion, a gain of 87.7% from ¥3.46 billion in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 2.0% from 1.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 9.2% on an annual basis to ¥326.36 billion from ¥298.76 billion, and total operating expenses grew 8.2% from the prior-year period to ¥318.86 billion from ¥294.63 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥3.98 billion, or a loss of ¥21.49 per share, compared to a loss of ¥1.18 billion, or a loss of ¥6.39 per share, in the prior-year period.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
