Exxon Mobil Corp. announced Dec. 1 that it will merge its refining and marketing operations into a single company, ExxonMobil Fuels & Lubricants Co., in the first quarter of 2018.
Bryan Milton, who is president of ExxonMobil Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties Marketing Co., was appointed president of the combined division, effective Jan. 1, 2018.
The merged division, along with Exxon Mobil affiliates, will manage crude purchasing and logistics, refining, supply, trading, midstream, marketing and sales of refined products.
In a separate release, the board of directors elected Neil Chapman as senior vice president and member of the corporation's management committee.
The board also appointed John Verity to succeed Chapman as president of ExxonMobil Chemical Co. Both assignments are effective Jan. 1, 2018.
Chapman joins Exxon Mobil Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Darren Woods and four other senior vice presidents in the management committee.
