Nice Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 came to a loss of ¥83.66 per share, compared with a loss of ¥11.52 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥784.9 million, compared with a loss of ¥110.5 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to negative 1.6% from negative 0.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased 10.2% on an annual basis to ¥50.22 billion from ¥55.91 billion, and total operating expenses decreased 8.0% year over year to ¥51.40 billion from ¥55.88 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥1.09 billion, or a loss of ¥115.75 per share, compared to a loss of ¥497.0 million, or a loss of ¥51.80 per share, in the prior-year period.
As of Aug. 8, US$1 was equivalent to ¥101.85.
